Adoption information |
|
All prospective adopters should fill out an adoption application as soon as possible, so that we can your home check done and get you on the waiting list. Refer to our adoption checklist to see you through the adoption procedure. Find out more about adoptions on our adoption information page. The Road Home reserves the right to refuse to adopt a collie to anyone.
Evaluation hold means that a dog is not yet available for adoption, pending further evaluation perhaps for behavioral or medical reasons. Training hold means that a dog is in our rescue receiving training for minor behavioral issues while we provide some tools for the new adoptive owners to use with this dog. Medical hold means that we are still treating a dog for a curable medical condition. Adoption pending means that the dog is in the process of being adopted but not yet signed over and delivered to the adopting home. |
|
Adoption fees are prorated by the age & condition of the dog. See our adoption information page for a schedule of adoption fees. |

If you do not find a collie you
want to adopt here at The Road Home, please check out the
NorCal Collie Rescue's web site:
http://www.calcollierecue.org. The Road Home will also do breeder referrals, in those cases where we determine that a rescued collie is not right for you. If you are a breeder and would like to be referred to, please let The Road Home collie rescue know. |
